Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before ordering your Casekaro phone case, from finding the right fit to delivery, payments and replacements.
What should I look for in an iPhone 17 Pro back cover?
Look for a back cover that combines precise camera-bump cutouts, raised edge protection, and a grippy texture - since the iPhone 17 Pro's aluminum unibody is reported to scratch more easily than the previous titanium models, protecting the back and edges matters more this generation.
• Precise cutouts around the large camera island to prevent lens-area impact
• Raised bumper edges that shield the aluminum frame from scratches and dings
• A textured or matte finish for better grip on the smooth aluminum body
• MagSafe compatibility if you use wireless charging or magnetic accessories
Will a back cover make the iPhone 17 Pro feel heavy?
A back cover adds only a small amount of extra weight — usually 15–25 grams — which is noticeable on top of the phone's already substantial 206g body, but most users find it improves grip enough to offset the added heft.
• Slim silicone/TPU covers add the least extra weight
• Hard polycarbonate covers add a bit more weight but stay manageable
• Rugged/battery cases add the most weight and are best reserved for heavy-duty use
• Since the 17 Pro is already one of the heavier iPhones, a lightweight case material matters more than usual
Does the iPhone 17 Pro back cover have a good grip?
Yes - most back covers significantly improve grip on the iPhone 17 Pro, since the smooth aluminum unibody is naturally slippery, and textured silicone, rubberized, or matte-finish covers add the friction the bare metal lacks.
• Silicone and rubberized covers offer the best grip improvement
• Textured or matte finishes reduce slipping compared to glossy hard shells
• Grip matters more on the 17 Pro given its size and weight increase over the 16 Pro
• Raised side rails also help thumbs and fingers hold the phone securely
Can an iPhone 17 Pro cover protect the phone from everyday drops and scratches?
Yes - a cover meaningfully protects the iPhone 17 Pro from everyday drops and scratches, which is especially valuable since the aluminum frame has been reported to scratch more easily than the titanium used on prior Pro models.
• Raised edges cushion the frame and camera bump during drops
• A cover shields the aluminum body from the scuffs and ""scratch-gate"" issues users have reported
• Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and back still benefits from extra shock absorption on impact
• Corner reinforcement on hybrid/rugged covers targets the most common drop-damage zones
